It all started with a dream and designs that I wanted to share with others.
Our Story
This sign is near and dear to my heart. This was the first sign that I ever designed and created. Back when I first started I used Cricut design software and a scroll saw. This sign helped me learn how to use beginner design software, tools, and how to paint/stain wood. Now I use professional design software and I cut most of my designs out using a laser machine. This sign hangs in the middle of my garage to remind me of where I started and how far I have come. I hope that you enjoy your customized signs as much as I enjoy bringing your creations to life.

Hi everyone! I’m a stay-at-home mother with 4 kids and I live for crafting, scrap-booking, creating and designing. Quarantine created the perfect conditions for me to build my own company from the ground up because my husband was home more than he had ever been in the past. I knew I had to use this opportunity and turn it into something amazing. I dove right in and made a million mistakes and ended up learning exactly what it takes to start the business of my dreams. My days turned into all-nighters, 2 minute breaks to eat a quick snack, and learning how to use every tool in my garage by watching hours of YouTube videos. Bringing this dream to life was so important because I was torn between going back to work and missing out on important time with my children. Since I was not willing to sacrifice any time with my kids or send them to daycare, I put all of my extra energy into starting A + R Designs. Too much to ask for? Nope. Turns out, all I needed was a laser cutter, redesigning my garage, gaining important wood working skills, learning how to use design software, and a handy husband that was willing to do anything to help me succeed. I checked all the boxes and got to work.
Now, A + R Designs is no longer just a dream, but a job that has given me the opportunity to love what I do and spend quality time with my sweetest children.
